Erik Birkeland of St. Paul, MN began his career as a high school English teacher working in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota and Yucca Valley, California. For the past ten years, Erik has worked as the Director of Planning & Research for Midwest Management Resources. He has served over 60 school districts, non-profit agencies and businesses during that time. He is a seasoned project manager, group facilitator, researcher and writer, having completed numerous successful school facility planning projects. He holds a M.Ed. from the University of MN, has completed all course work for licensure as a K-12 principal and school superintendent, and is currently a doctoral candidate in organization development (change management) at the University of St. Thomas.
